Pillhill Brook

The Pillhill Brook is a headwater of the River Test in Hampshire. It is a classic spring fed chalk stream; rising on chalk in the village of Kimpton, travelling through a gently rolling, low gradient chalk landscape and eventually feeding into the River Anton on chalk in the village of Upper Clatford. The upper reaches of the brook are classified as winterbournes as these rarely flow during the summer months but when flowing the brook is around 10 km in length. The map on our Monitoring page shows the course of the brook and its winterbourne sections.
